Giving Tree

We are collecting books and clothing for the Center for Women and Children in Crisis located in Provo. Books should be new or in “like new” condition. Clothing needs to be new and in its packaging with all tags still attached. All sizes are needed for boys, girls and women. Collection boxes are located by the Christmas tree in the library; donations will be accepted through December 23. If you prefer to make a cash donation, we will purchase books for the children.

Pioneer Advantages

Having a library card gives you access to Pioneer. This site has online magazines, newspapers, car repair manuals, information on countries (Culturegrams), practice tests for advanced placement exams, GED, SAT, ACT (learning express), K-12 and pre-school activities and much more. To access the K-12 and pre-school links, contact the library for the user name and password.

New NASA iPad app!

NASA's Space Place Prime is proud to unveil a long-anticipated iPad app, ‘Space Place Prime.’ This brand new app gathers some of the best and most recent web offerings from NASA. It taps engrossing articles from The Space Place website, enlightening NASA videos, and daily images such as the Astronomy Picture of the Day and the NASA Earth Observatory Image of the Day.

Story Time

Story time continues through July except on the 24th.  Join us in the City Council Chambers upstairs from the library, Tuesdays at 10am.  The library will open at 9:45am for your returns and will be open following Story Time so you can borrow books. 

Adult Book Club

Our Adult book club this month is on Thursday, July 19, 10am.  We're discussing Barbara Kingsolver's book, The Bean Trees.  Call Barbara Poduska to borrow a copy (801-766-3805).

Kids Book Club

Calling all girls! We're reading The Littles for book club this month, July 19, 7pm..  Girls who just completed grades 2, 3 or 4 are invited participate.  Register at the library or call 801-766-6513.

Teen Self Defense Class

Teens are welcomed to join a self defense class at the library on Thursday, July 26, 7:30pm.  We'll talk about fingerprints and receive training from a Saratoga Springs police officer.  Sign up at the library or call 801-766-6513.

Calling all kiddos. Be sure to pick up your Governor's Reading Calendar and Hooper Soar with Reading activity book!  They're free and on the counter in the library.

Summer Reading Kick-off Sucess

Thank you to all those who came out to support the Summer Reading Kick-off held at Neptune Park on June 1st! Even our own Alaynah Woodhouse, Miss Saratoga Springs, came out to read with the Chick-fil-A cow! It was a great time!

Summer Reading Kick-off

In-n-Out Reading Program!

KIDS ages 4-12:  Join the In-n-Out Burger reading program, "Cover to Cover."  Read 5 books and receive a certificate for a free hamburger or cheeseburger.  Each child may earn up to 3 certificates.  Program runs through April 14.  Register and receive your reading log at the library.

New in the Reference Section: Encyclopedia Britannica collection of science books with a SD-X Reader pen – Humans; Animals; Under the Sea, Dinosaurs, Reptiles and Birds; Earth; Space. These may only be used in the library.

Special Closing Dates

Please note that the library will be closed on the following dates/times:
  • The library will be closed from 5:30-6pm on Tuesday, January 3, so everyone can attend the swearing in of the new City Council members
  • The library will be closed on Monday, January 16, for the Martin Luther King holiday
