March 5, 2011- The city of Saratoga Springs is delighted for its grand opening of the temporary children’s section of the newly developed public library to be held on March 26 from 10am to noon. The city encourages all to participate in the official ribbon cutting ceremony located on 1307 Commerce Drive, at the city office building.
This presents a wonderful opportunity for residents and guests to receive a first-hand tour of the developing library, meet the library board, and receive further information on upcoming programs.  Additionally, children entertainment will be provided to promote the children section of the library. Children may look forward to magician Mike Cottam as he delights and captivates with his tricks.
It comes to no surprise that the city has truly united behind this project. Local business and residents have freely volunteered time, money, and never-ending devotion. Those outside the community have also extended a charitable hand to the organization and development of the city’s first public library. It is an exciting time that many residents have looked forward to for years.
This grand opening marks a historical day for all those involved and most importantly the city of Saratoga Springs. May the library and community together continue in its efforts of “Enriching Minds, Energizing Lives!”

Last Tile Painting Opportunity

Our last tile painting session will be next Wed., March 9th from 4-7pm at the city office building.  This will be the very last time to paint the tiles that you purchased before we open the children section on March 26th.  If you've already purchased a tile and haven't painted it, please come do so.  If you'd like to purchase and paint you can do so that evening.  ALSO...if you purchased tiles online through our city website, please come.  The Xpress Bill Pay site that hosts all of our purchases and information has been down for the past 10 days.  We are not able to access any information off of that site to contact people who've purchased tiles.  If you know anyone that has bought and paid for tiles through that site, please let them know that we are painting on WED. MARCH 9 from 4-7pm.  See you there.
