Another Volunteer Opportunity

Here is another wonderful opportunity for the community of Saratoga Springs to help out with the development of our library. 

Sorting books at the Bank of American Fork this week - Monday, 11am-5pm; Tuesday, 1-3pm; Wednesday, 9am-4pm; Thursday, 10am-12noon; Friday, 2-5pm. Come play in the books!

Successful Drive!

Our recent book drive donations from Jacob's Ranch, Stillwater and Summerhill was a success. The library was able to collect 900 books from those residents who donated. Thank you so much for your support and willingness to give.

A Night To Remember!



Thank you to all those who attended our first family fundraiser for our city library! We had a wonderful turnout to the Family Movie Night, and are grateful for all the support. We had 600+ people show up, and the library earned $1500 in profit.  There was also some very generous donations from members of our community; A HUGE THANK YOU to the Woodrum family and Michael McOmber.  Thanks to everyone for their efforts to make this a success and for all those who came to support us!

In Need of Boxes.

We are in need of boxes to store books in. If you have some that you can give away, please take them to the Bank of American Fork on Saturday, 9/25, between 9-12 in the morning. Thank you for your support.
9/25 BOOK DRIVE! 

We are holding our fourth book drive on Saturday, September 25th in the Stillwater, Jacob's Ranch, and Summerhill communities. Simply place your donated books near your front door/porch by 8 am, and a volunteer will come by to pick them up! Those volunteering to collect donated books general gather the books from 8- 10 am.

Please Note: Any books that are donated to the library become the property of the library. If the library is unable to use them for any reason, we will sell the books to raise funds to purchase a book necessary to our collection.

REMINDER:Movie Night Fundraiser!

Just another reminder to spread the word in regards to our first fundraiser for our city library!
ATTEND OUR FREE MOVIE NIGHT!
When: Sept. 17th , party starts at 7:30 pm
Where: Saratoga Hills Park
Showing: MATILDA at dusk
Cost: FREE + donations
Concessions sold will benefit library. 
Race registration and tile purchases available.



Danor Gerald will be the emcee for the Family Movie night.  Mr Gerald is a prominent actor in the Utah film industry and has made a home in  Saratoga Springs for the last 6 years.  He and his wife Jarrah Lyn have 1 daughter and 2 sons.  You may recognize Danor from over a dozen movies including Forever Strong, Minor Details, & High School Musical 2.   Mr. Gerald has worked extensively with youth during his 16-year career.  He has lead workshops, performed and given speeches through national & internationally acclaimed organizations such as Walt Disney Corporation, Young Audiences, Odyssey of the Mind, & The Dallas Children's Theatre.  He recently produced an inspirational audio talk on CD, titled "Acting with Faith" .  Currently he is in production on the feature film "Peloton", starring in a lead role as "Jack", an elite road cyclist.  Mr. Gerald is grateful to work and serve with friends and neighbors in the development of our city library.   The Gerald family hopes the city will continue to develop cultural infrastructure for the young families who live here in beautiful Saratoga Springs.

Tile Project Chair NEEDED!

We are looking for an individual who would be willing to voluntarily take on the library's tile" fundraiser project. This tile project chair will need to form a committee that is willing to work together to provide the following: 
  • Tiles to be sold at EVERY event we do and every story time
  • Finance- keep track of receipts and the information of purchaser
  • Provide painting times 
  • Schedule the pre-sold tiles to be painted at an event
  • Helping with "painting zone" at Harvest Festival
  • Inventory- numeric set up to those who purchased
  • Arranging special glass-based paint & kiln to fire each tile
  • Delivery of completed/new tile to library for display
Information on Tile Project:
  • 1,000 - 3,000 tiles
  • 6 x 6 inch unfinished tiles
  • They will hang on the wall around the story time area of the library
  • This is one of our biggest and most visible fundraisers

There are so many people that have donated their time, energy, money, and business to help benefit the development of our public library. A CONTINUOUS THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

We wanted to take a second to show our appreciation to the Pelican Bay, Fox Hollow, Lake Mountain and Hawks Landing communities who so graciously donated books on our August 28th drive! Your donations helped us reach close to 10,000 books! 

Also a HUGE thanks to Lake Mountain 3rd Ward for their time and service! Thanks to you, we are are prepared to send out fliers for our next three book drives!

A HUGE thank you to Harvest Elementary, which has willingly opened its doors for donations! There will now be a book drop at Harvest Elementary for anyone able to donate books to the public library. Be a part of history as the community helps to collect books for this great cause!

All materials donated become property of the city public library. If for any reason the library is unable to use the materials, it will sell them to finance the purchase of other materials the library needs to complete it's collection.

Please Note: The Bank of American Fork branch in Saratoga Springs no longer has a book drop off. If you'd like to drop books, please bring them at Harvest Elementary located at 2105 N. Providence Drive in the Harvest Hills community.
